Quality of life

Natural beauty, culture and hospitality

The island state of Cape Verde, which belongs to Africa, or in the national language «Cabo Verde», is considered the model state of the continent. Despite the isolated location of the archipelago and the few land resources, the country has managed to build up a certain prosperity through a reasonable policy. For example, money from tourism flows into the health and education system. In addition, there is a politically stable situation, which not only offers the 550,000 inhabitants a high quality of life, but also gives a boost to tourism as the country's largest economic sector.

Politicians have also reacted to the steady growth in tourism and made the country more friendly for investors. For example, owners of second homes in Cape Verde are granted a permanent residence permit.

Another quality of the archipelago is the attractive climate with constant temperatures between 22 and 30 degrees with a similar sea temperature. In addition, there is a varied landscape ranging from rugged rock formations and beautiful sandy beaches to breathtaking mountain landscapes and untouched nature reserves.

The official language on Cape Verde is Portuguese, while the national language is Cape Verdean Creole. In addition, French and English are taught in the schools.
